Pladis is looking for a Marketing Manager to take end‑to‑end accountability for comms, innovation, activation and performance across its biggest Youthful brand categories. The role will be based in Chiswick Park, as a 12‑month fixed‑term contract working hybrid (three days per week).
Key Deliverables
- Develop and deliver yearly brand plans in partnership with the UK&I Marketing Director.
- Identify growth opportunities in the targeted demand space and drive short‑ and long‑term consumer insight into plans.
- Deliver on budget targets, volume (NS), gross profit (TGC), market share and other key performance metrics for the portfolio.
- Build a demand‑centric innovation pipeline and support commercialisation through pack, price and promotional strategy.
- Coordinate integrated marketing actions across OOH, digital, social, in‑store, PR and licensing.
- Partner with Corporate Communications to manage sustainability‑related brand communication.
- Control marketing spend against the agreed budget and continuously evaluate spend effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Own the brand strategy, growth plans and marketing programmes for Family Treats, CBBS and Cake (Club, Gold, Penguin & more).
- Lead cross‑functional project teams, ensuring timely delivery of projects and programmes.
- Act as the brand guardian for the portfolio, maintaining brand integrity across all touchpoints.
- Manage and mentor a team of direct reports, fostering talent development.
- Forge strong relationships with technical, development and supply‑chain partners.
- Influence all levels of the organisation, engaging stakeholders without formal authority.
- Run performance reviews of brand strategy and take remedial action when necessary.
Qualifications
- Sound marketing experience within food or FMCG, including senior marketing roles (Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing).
- Demonstrated success managing a sophisticated brand portfolio, with commercial experience across other functions.
- Proven consumer‑champion, adept at turning consumer insights into actionable opportunities.
- Experience with multimedia communications, campaign development and agency management.
- Strong understanding of the UK&I consumer market and ability to develop both long‑term growth strategies and short‑term tactics.
- Ability to create and manage profitable commercial plans, driving growth and profitability.
- Excellent storytelling, influencing and team‑building skills.
