Job Purpose: Reporting to the Chief R&D Officer, the Global Head of Quality and Food Safety will provide vision, leadership, support, collaboration and direction that ensures our Quality and Food Standards are delivered to the highest standard. This role is responsible for leading and driving the strategic thinking of all aspects of product Quality and Food Safety across the portfolio made and sold globally, ensuring business continuity and developing and delivering the Quality transformation agenda.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide leadership for Quality and Food Safety function globally, working in partnership with R&D and Supply Chain teams to create and deliver a world class Quality and Food Safety strategy while ensuring full compliance to internal/customer/industry standards, legislative requirements, and Food Safety protocols.
- Define and lead region-wide quality transformation initiatives, reporting on this agenda to Chief R&D Officer, CSCO and Regional MDs leads.
- Own the execution of the Quality and Food Safety agenda, ensuring full adoption of all required standards/protocols.
- Ensure all units put quality at the highest priority of delivery and ensure appropriate governance is in place to monitor/course correct.
- Work in partnership with global/regional R&D and Supply Chain to design and develop Quality policies and procedures while driving continuous improvement in Quality management systems and standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally in particular with R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain to deliver business objectives.
- Work with the Regional quality leads to deliver Quality Crisis Management, Retailer Technical Management, Quality and Food safety specialists, Supplier Approval, Authenticity.
- Build constructive and productive working relationships across multiple regions at a senior level (CEO, MDs, etc.).
- Redefine and build a world class Quality organization, including skills and capabilities needed.
- Bridge gaps through training and talent acquisition.
- Create a learning and continuous quality improvement environment, which encourages benchmarks and world class practices.
