What will this role achieve?
- Drive world-class commodity intelligence and risk management by delivering actionable market insights, predictive modelling, and digital decision-support tools that improve procurement and hedging outcomes globally.
- Own the end-to-end execution and governance of commodity risk strategies, ensuring accurate exposure reporting, effective hedge implementation, and commercial support that strengthens supplier negotiations and business performance.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Publish regular detailed and actionable research reports on agricultural, energy and industrial commodities.
- Research and build detailed commodity supply and demand models.
- Lead the development, enhancement and execution of econometric / AI models.
- Develop deep fundamental and technical market analysis.
- Deliver a digitised market intelligence hub to disseminate quantitative and qualitative information to drive global and regional decision making.
- Develop strategies on financial risk management with the commodities and other key prime material spends which may involve the use of futures, swaps.
- Take ownership of accurate global hedge position reporting, detailing exposures and ensuring these abide with governance policies & framework.
- Ensure timely execution of hedging strategies.
- Support key supplier negotiations through insights.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex / sensitive issues.

Essential
- Relevant degree/qualification that demonstrates experience and learning suitable for this role.
- Demonstrable interest in commodities, energy or financial markets, with at least three years of experience working in commodities such as agriculture, metals, energy, or similar.
- Knowledge of hedging and financial risk management of commodities.
- A strong understanding of what impacts global commodity prices, with experience in fundamentals analysis and report-writing.
- Ability to translate global commodity insights to regional intricacies and tailor output to our manufacturing locations (Turkey, Central Asia, MENA, Europe, UK, North America, Sub-Saharan Africa & India).
- Maintain and build commodity research databases, with the ability to lead the development, enhancement and execution of models and processes to forecast and describe price, supply and demand, relative value and global trends on assigned commodity markets.

What will the interview process be?
- Initial Telephone call with Talent Acquisition.
- 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
- 2nd stage interview – 90 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.
- pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
