ABOUT THE ROLE
Placr Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing bespoke joinery business based in Uckfield to recruit an experienced Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner / Machinist. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled team producing high-end bespoke joinery for both commercial and residential projects. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional quality, precision craftsmanship and outstanding customer results. Working from a fully equipped workshop, you will be involved in the manufacture of custom-made cabinetry and joinery products, operating a variety of woodworking machinery while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship. This vacancy has arisen due to a valued member of staff relocating, creating an opportunity for an experienced professional to join the business during an exciting period of growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manufacture bespoke cabinetry and joinery products to exact specifications
- Operate workshop machinery safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Assemble and finish bespoke joinery items to a high standard
- Maintain excellent quality control throughout the production process
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet project deadlines
- Keep the workshop organised, safe and efficient
- Ensure all work meets the company's quality standards
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker, Bench Joiner or Machinist
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of cabinetry and bespoke joinery
- Experience operating a range of woodworking machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Own hand tools
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
