Experienced Payroll Administrator
Brighton | Full-time or minimum 30 hours over four days | Hybrid working available
Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator who takes pride in getting things right first time?
Our client is a fast-growing and highly regarded accountancy firm supporting thousands of businesses and individuals across Sussex.
They are looking for a confident, organised Payroll Administrator to join their busy and friendly Brighton team.

- What You'll Be Doing
- Managing client payrolls accurately from start to finish
- Creating and maintaining payroll records
- Calculating holiday pay, part-month payments and statutory payments
- Processing P45s
- Liaising directly with clients and answering payroll queries
- Setting up and managing workplace pension schemes
- Completing monthly uploads across multiple pension providers
- Working with payroll software including Sage, STAR and Xero
What We're Looking For
- Previous payroll administration experience
- Excellent numerical and data-entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and a right-first-time approach
- Confident communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Good Excel, IT and general software knowledge
- The ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- A methodical, organised and reliable approach
- Confidence working independently following initial training
- The legal right to work in the UK
- Hours and Location
The role is based in central Brighton and can be offered as
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Part-time: A minimum of 30 hours across four days per week
The team primarily works from the office, although up to two days of home working per week may be available following initial training.
