Cable Assembly Technician

Place Recruitment is working with an established and growing manufacturer in Worthing to recruit an experienced Cable Assembly Technician to join their production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous cable assembly and soldering experience who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and enjoys working within a technical manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Cable Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and production of specialist cables, wiring looms and electrical products, working to detailed specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble specialist cables, wiring looms and electrical assemblies.
- Strip, crimp, solder and terminate cables accurately and consistently.
- Follow technical drawings, production specifications and detailed assembly instructions.
- Inspect completed work throughout the assembly process to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Use a range of hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient production area.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production requirements and maintain high standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in cable assembly, wiring or electronic assembly.
- Strong practical soldering and hand-assembly skills.
- Experience using hand tools for precision assembly work.
- The ability to understand and work from technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- A reliable, positive and professional approach to work.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Monday to Thursday, 8.00am – 5.00pm
- Early finish every Friday at 1.00pm
