The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.
The main purpose of this role will be to ensure all TIG Welding projects are completed in conformance with specifications and set time scales. Fabrication and welding of vacuum chambers, components and subassemblies as required in line with planned manufacturing operations to defined quality standards and timescales. Complete projects in accordance with planned schedules aligning fabrication and welding workload with machine shop operations.
Quality Control evaluations. Set up and running of leak checking operations using mass spectrometry equipment (helium leak detectors) on all chamber vessels.

- Works well within the team, maintaining effective relationships with colleagues in the welding department.
- Demonstrates a flexible attitude coping with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understands the importance of quality, time frames and customer requirements.
- Looks for continuous improvement in quality and time-saving solutions.
- Completes work in an effective and safe manner, following guidelines.
- Ability to prioritise projects throughout the team to achieve targets incorporating CIT (call in time/overtime).
- Understands and works to the 5s program.
- Follows all health and safety regulations and seeks to maintain and improve these standards.
- Knowledge or experience of welding and fabrication processes would be beneficial.
- Previous experience of working in the vacuum industry would be advantageous.
- Qualified to BTech/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
- TIG Welding (ideally working with stainless steel & Mu metal).
- Established skillset in metal fabrication and welding including the use of precision measuring equipment.
- Able to read specified drawings.
- Comfortable working to deadlines set by lead technician.
- Basic knowledge of turning would be an advantage.
- Follows all health and safety regulations and seeks to maintain and improve these standards.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in TIG welding.
- Good constructive communicator.
- Flexible and able to adapt to short-term changes.
- Supports project completion through problem solving.
