Our client is looking for a Test, Service & Installation Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an opportunity to work with highly specialised engineering systems, carrying out testing, commissioning and installation projects from their West Sussex facility through to customer sites across the UK and internationally.

No two projects are the same, making this an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working with innovative technology.

The Role

As a Test, Service & Installation Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring complex engineering equipment is tested, commissioned and installed to the highest standards.

Working alongside design, production and customer teams, you'll help deliver successful projects from factory testing through to final customer acceptance.

International travel is a key part of the role, with overseas assignments typically lasting up to three weeks at a time.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Testing and commissioning specialist engineering equipment.
  • Carrying out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and completing quality documentation.
  • Installing and commissioning systems at customer sites across the UK and worldwide.
  • Diagnosing faults and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Working closely with design and production teams to deliver successful installations.
  • Supporting customer acceptance, handover and technical demonstrations.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service.

You'll ideally have

  • An engineering qualification or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
  • Experience testing, servicing, commissioning or installing complex engineering equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using a range of hand and power tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative engineering team.
  • A willingness and ability to travel internationally.

Desirable Experience

  • MRI systems or superconducting magnet technology.
  • Cryogenics or vacuum systems.
  • Helium leak testing.
  • High-vacuum or precision engineering environments.
