The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

The main purpose of this role will be:

  • To ensure all TIG Welding projects are completed in conformance with specifications and set time scales.
  • Fabrication and welding of vacuum chambers, components and subassemblies as required in line with planned manufacturing operations to defined quality standards and timescales.
  • Complete projects in accordance with planned schedules aligning fabrication and welding workload with machine shop operations.
  • Quality Control evaluations. Set up and running of leak checking operations using mass spectrometry equipment, (helium leak detectors) on all chamber vessels.

  • Manages personal workload, meeting all targets set.
  • Works well within the team, maintaining effective relationships with colleagues in the welding department.
  • Demonstrates a flexible attitude coping with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understands the importance of quality, time frames and customer requirements.
  • Looks for continuous improvement in quality and time-saving solutions.
  • Completes work in an effective and safe manner, following guidelines.
  • Ability to prioritise projects throughout the team to achieve targets incorporating CIT, (call in time / Overtime).
  • Understands and works to the 5s program.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
