Placr’s client is a successful precision engineering and manufacturing business looking for a Production Scheduler to take ownership of production schedules, coordinate across departments and help drive excellent on-time delivery.
The Role
- Manage forward-looking production schedules across manufacturing cells.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to agree delivery dates.
- Monitor capacity, demand and potential production delays.
- Work closely with Cell Leaders to maintain on-time delivery.
- Maximise the use of ERP/order management systems and maintain clear order visibility.
- Identify priorities and critical issues, taking ownership through to resolution.
- Produce production and delivery performance reports and metrics.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in production planning, scheduling or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Ideally, a background within precision engineering, manufacturing or assembly.
- Strong Excel, ERP and systems knowledge; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
- Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Degree educated or qualified through relevant experience.
