Join Our Team as a Weekend Contract Clinical Coder. Are you an experienced clinical coder seeking weekend contract opportunities? Placing Talent is recruiting for a Weekend Contract Clinical Coder to join our client's clinical coding team in South Wales. This is a field-based role focused on ensuring clinical information from patient case notes is extracted, analysed, and translated into diagnosis & operational procedure codes.
Role Details:
- Contract: Weekends, 1-2 days.
- Working Hours: 7.5 hours per day, option for 10 hours per day.
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
- IR35 Status: Inside-IR35 regulations.
- Specialties: Broad case-mix supporting one of the largest Trusts in Wales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for extracting, analysing, and translating complex clinical information from patient case notes allocating accurate diagnosis & operational procedure codes.
- To work autonomously without direct supervision when allocating work and in the achievement of daily coding targets.
- To be proactive, flexible and supportive towards an electronic way of working as the Trust develops its electronic patient record.
- To be self-sufficient in resolving complex clinical coding queries and issues.
Essential Criteria:
- National Clinical Coding Qualification.
- Up-to-date Clinical Coding Standards Refresher Course within the last three years.
- Experience coding a range of surgical and medical specialties.
- Strong communication skills.
