We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to oversee the financial operations of one of our client's sites in Surrey. You will play a vital role in maintaining strong financial processes and will be responsible for ensuring smooth financial management supporting a Head of Finance. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance background, preferably working towards an accounting qualification (or qualified by experience), and be confident in financial process implementation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Finance in preparing monthly management accounts.
  • Process supplier invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain financial documentation and ensure proper filing.
  • Prepare and manage the weekly supplier payment schedule.
  • Support the Head of Finance in providing auditors with required information and documentation.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the annual budget preparation process.
  • Process orders and credit card payments efficiently.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding fee payments.
  • Process petty cash and reconcile accounts.
  • Ensure purchase orders align with budget approvals.
  • Process and manage sales invoices on a termly basis.
  • Provide administrative support for budget-setting and month-end processes.
  • Assist with insurance renewals and lease agreements.
  • Support the transition to a paperless finance system.
