We are excited to be again supporting one of our most successful and growing clients in recruiting a Finance & Operations Controller for one of their recent acquisitions based in Somerset.
Key aspects of this exciting role are:
- Lead a small dedicated finance team.
- Put in place robust financial reporting, working alongside central finance to ensure consistency.
- Provide leadership on all financial matters to ensure successful financial performance.
- Be responsible for financial and management reporting including budgets, forecasts and year end reporting.
- Support the leadership team in driving business performance and EBIT growth in particular partnering the business leader.
- Work alongside operational leaders to ensure overhead spend is in line with budget and justified from a commercial standpoint.
- Work closely with central finance on projects.
- Ensure processes and procedures are at the level needed to mitigate risk.
- Lead and manage a small team within finance.
This exciting role requires a qualified accountant with proven people management skills who is a strong team player and who is prepared to "roll their sleeves up" when necessary. You will be an excellent communicator who can work with both finance and non-finance operational colleagues with financial management and planning. You will have had significant exposure to the production of monthly management accounts as well as year end financial statements. Please note this role is based 5 days a week in the office.
