Collecting and removing recycling and household waste, from residential, commercial, and public areas.

Working as part of a team, you will assist the driver and other loaders in carrying out efficient and safe collection in accordance to local authority guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load refuse, recycling, and garden waste into collection vehicles.
  • Ensure waste is collected from the correct locations and issues are reported.
  • Return bins and containers neatly to the appropriate locations after emptying.
  • Assist the driver in navigating and reversing safely.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Report hazardous or contaminated waste and any safety concerns.
  • Maintain good relationships with the public and represent the company or council professionally.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player.
  • Good level of physical fitness – able to walk long distances and lift heavy items.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
  • MUST ALREADY RESIDE IN THE UK & HAVE RIGHT TO WORK.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • Early start times – 6am – 2pm.
  • Physically demanding and fast-paced.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
