Working as part of a team, you will assist the driver and other loaders in carrying out efficient and safe collection in accordance to local authority guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load refuse, recycling, and garden waste into collection vehicles.
- Ensure waste is collected from the correct locations and issues are reported.
- Return bins and containers neatly to the appropriate locations after emptying.
- Assist the driver in navigating and reversing safely.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report hazardous or contaminated waste and any safety concerns.
- Maintain good relationships with the public and represent the company or council professionally.
Requirements:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player.
