Business-to-business publishing house Place North is looking for a Client Services Director to lead on client success and project delivery. Place North is well-known and respected in the property community for delivering top-quality news and events, through regional titles Place North West, Place Yorkshire, and Place North East. As well as news and events, we deliver advertising and marketing opportunities to clients who wish to reach our property readers. Our clients include major national and SME property developers, construction companies, architects, surveyors, and more. We are seeking an organised, reliable, and personable leader for our content production team, who work at pace to deliver quality client activity and in-house content. As a senior member of the team, you will support the leadership team in driving the company’s culture and ethos, and contributing to wider business plans. Responsibilities include Lead on the delivery of client publishing and advertising activity Oversee the production team as they produce content for clients, in-house marketing, and special projects Produce content for client projects and marketing, using design skills Review and be responsible for signing off on content including videos, podcasts, and marketing designs Set out project plans, manage timelines and team members to ensure client and in-house projects are delivered to a high standard and on time Act as the main point of contact for our partners, ensuring excellent customer service and activity delivery Create and communicate analytics reports with clients Lead on quality control of output across the company, ensuring Place North is unbeaten in accuracy, quality, and attention to detail Deliver on strategic business plans and drive efficiency Liaise with editorial, events, and sales teams to ensure joined-up thinking and project delivery across the board Maintain excellent client and internal team communications, ensuring everyone is up to date and on target with projects Skills, experience, and approach You will: Be a creative problem-solver Be extremely organized Be a confident and effective communicator Enjoy building strong relationships with clients Be able to plan, manage and execute complex projects under pressure Have experience in designing content Be adept at using Adobe design packages Have experience in managing people Have an excellent eye for detail Video or podcast knowledge or expertise is a bonus – you will not be required to deliver this activity but to review and sign-off video and podcast output You will be the driving force maintaining the highest standards among our competitors and ensuring all output is completed effectively, on time, and with great results. You will be managing our two content producers, who work on client delivery and in-house marketing projects. You will be required to create some content yourself as well. Activity that clients book with us includes: advertising and marketing campaigns, filmed interviews and building tours, podcasts, and email campaigns. Other projects you will lead on include reader campaigns, driving user and client experience, and promoting our events calendar. This is a new position, based in our Manchester city centre office, available now. The start date can be negotiated. The package and benefits £45,000 – £50,000 salary per annum, dependant on experience 23 days holiday, plus Christmas week off and bank holidays Travel to work subsidy up to £1,000 a year Mobile phone paid for Company matching pension scheme Option to work from home twice a week where suitable, after initial training period in the office Employee-owned business – benefit from influence in the business’s direction and income tax-free bonuses depending on the company’s performance.
