Responsibilities:

  • Cost Advice : You will provide advice on the costs associated with building projects. This involves estimating and analysing expenses related to construction.
  • Cost Evaluation : You’ll be responsible for evaluating project costs and providing recommendations on alternative proposals, helping clients make informed decisions.
  • Contract Advice : Advising on contract arrangements and the conditions under which buildings will be constructed. This includes ensuring that contracts are fair and legally sound.
  • Tender Evaluation : You’ll evaluate tenders submitted by contractors and provide detailed reports on the bids, helping clients choose the best-suited contractor.
  • Contractor Meetings : You will attend and actively participate in meetings with contractors, ensuring that projects progress smoothly and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Construction Methodology : Offering advice on the implications of different construction methods, materials, and technologies, helping clients make sustainable and cost-effective choices.
  • Bills of Quantities : You’ll prepare bills of quantities, which are detailed lists of materials, labour, and other costs required for a construction project. These are essential for cost estimation and tendering.
