We have a mix of casual and contracted hours available for Level 1 Swimming Assistants at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre, in Portishead.
Permanent shifts:
- Saturday 8:30 - 12:00
Where applying for a permanent shift, please let us know which days you would be able to do. There may be the option of extending shifts or altering hours for the right candidate.
Where applying for a casual role, we are particularly interested in hearing from those who are able to cover our weekend lessons on Saturdays, which run between 8:30 - 12:00.

As an Assistant Swimming Teacher, you will support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults. You'll work closely with the Swimming Teacher in supporting swimmers develop their skills and confidence in the water. Within lessons, you may be responsible for a small group of learners learning a specific skill, under the direction of the Swimming Teacher.
Requirements:
- Ability to work with children
- Experience at assisting in swimming teaching/children's classes
- Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification, or equivalent (this is not essential and training can be provided)
