We have an exciting new opportunity for a Fitness Instructor at Places Leisure, where you will work in a fun, lively environment with like-minded people. You will inspire others to work together and deliver their best. With experience in the fitness industry, you will be enthusiastic, enjoy talking with people, motivate others, and feel confident in giving suitable health and fitness advice tailored to each customer’s aspirations and goals.

All our Fitness Instructors should hold a minimum CIMSPA Affiliate/Reps Level 2 qualification; CIMSPA Practitioner/Reps Level 3 is ideal. If you are motivated and driven, we will support you through our continuous learning and development opportunities to achieve this qualification.

There are many opportunities within Places Leisure. Your career as a Fitness Instructor is a great first step to many different routes. You can develop your career by delivering outstanding Personal Training sessions and growing your client base. If management is a route you want to take, you can progress to become a Fitness Manager.

In the Fitness Instructor role, we offer ongoing training and development opportunities, including support with your CIMSPA Practitioner/Reps Level 3 qualification, and opportunities to enhance your customer service skills and more.

Responsibilities

  • Always putting the customers’ needs at the forefront and building personable, meaningful relationships.
  • Maintain an ongoing focus on personal development and stay up to date with new industry trends.
  • Carry out initial inductions and ensure customers use equipment safely and correctly.
  • Be comfortable working with customers of all abilities and fitness levels; set and monitor programmes as appropriate.
  • Work with individuals running Personal Training and small group sessions; be happy to offer Personal Training as an additional service; look to take on new PT clients from face-to-face interactions and basic marketing tools.
  • Work as a team to keep facilities clean and safe, adhering to regulations and company procedures, maintaining high standards in all you do.

Qualifications

  • Minimum CIMSPA Affiliate/Reps Level 2 qualification (essential).
  • CIMSPA Practitioner/Reps Level 3 qualification (preferred).
  • Motivated, driven, and committed to ongoing learning and development; we can support you to achieve the CIMSPA Level 3 qualification.
