The bonus will be paid in two instalments: £500 upon joining Places for People and a further £500 upon successful completion of your probation period, subject to the terms of the scheme. \n What you'll be doing \n \n Carrying out joinery installations and repairs within domestic properties \n Completing work such as doors, kitchens, flooring and internal fittings \n Working to specifications, reports, and agreed standards \n Protecting Customers' homes and belongings while completing work \n Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers and wider teams to meet deadlines \n Recording work activity and completing required documentation \n Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs \n \n What your day looks like \n \n A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenance work \n Travelling between jobs in your company van \n Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople \n Engaging directly with Customers in their homes \n Completing work efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards \n \n Where you'll work \n You will be working across: \n \n Occupied homes \n Empty (void) properties \n A range of domestic properties within your local area \n Environments involving vulnerable Customers \n \n E ssential Criteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted) \n \n NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Joinery \n Experience working as a Joiner, ideally within social housing or domestic properties \n Full UK driving licence \n Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be based within the London postcode \n \n Nice to have (not essential) \n \n Experience working across multiple trades \n IT literacy or willingness to learn digital systems \n \n Our hiring process \n We're moving quickly and aim to interview as soon as possible for suitable candidates. n Important information \n This role will require a Basic DBS check \n You may be required to work across surrounding areas \n Ready to apply? \n If you want to support customers in your local community, this could be the right role for you. \n Please note that we may bring the closing date forward, if we receive a large number of quality applications.
