More About Your Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Manager to lead the swimming and sports programmes here at The Malden Centre which includes overseeing a thriving swim scheme of approximately 2,300 swimmers.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the swim scheme of approximately 2,300 swimmers.
  • Oversee the delivery of school swimming programmes, working closely with local schools, teachers and swimming instructors.
  • Coordinate school swimming timetables, bookings, staffing and pool space.
  • Lead and support a team of swimming teachers and pool staff.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching, customer service and swimmer progression.
  • Manage class timetables, teacher allocation, assessments and registers.
  • Monitor attendance, retention, customer satisfaction and programme performance.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop swimming teachers.
  • Ensure all activities meet relevant safeguarding, health and safety and operating standards.
  • Work closely with the Centre Manager to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Promote the swimming programme and increase participation and retention.
  • Drive our sports programmes and identify opportunities for growth.
