More about your role
We are looking to recruit a Principal Cloud Engineer on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of Cloud Services, you will provide technical leadership to our Cloud Engineering team. In doing so, the role will own the portfolio of Cloud infrastructure solutions, and set and drive the technical standards. The role will create and maintain the technology roadmap for Cloud infrastructure, ensuring that we have a medium and long term strategy for Cloud.

The role is responsible for leading on the development and enhancement of infrastructure through code, ensuring that our services are resilient, visible, scalable, repeatable and transportable. The role will ensure that all developed solutions meet the prescribed standards, aligned to best practice cloud engineering, and meet the performance requirements of the service.

This is a remote role but you will be required to attend face to face meetings in Preston around once a month,

This position has a 2 stage interview process with the 1st stage being online and the 2nd being face to face in Preston (for candidates to progressed to 2nd stage we will cover the costs of travel).

More about you

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Principal Cloud / DevOps Engineer. Experience of working with Cloud platforms (in particular Azure or GCP) and Terraform is also desired.

  • Experience of working with Cloud platforms ideally Azure / GCP,
  • A proven track record of working with Terraform, GIT, Ansible and Puppet
  • An understanding of CI/ CD processes.
