The Safety, Sustainability and Compliance Team is a key part of the Risk and Compliance Function and is experiencing exciting growth.

Role Overview: Reporting to the Group Director of Safety and Compliance, we are looking for a Senior Occupational Health Manager on a permanent basis. The role involves leading and evolving our in-house Occupational Health service (PfP Medical), ensuring consistency, compliance, efficiency and risk-based delivery. It plays a crucial part in improving regulatory compliance, reducing operational inefficiencies and delivering responsive, high-quality support to frontline operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the internal Occupational Health function and delivering core OH services such as health surveillance, management referrals, medical guidance and wellbeing support.
  • Developing and maintaining a risk-based operating model aligned to People strategy, group risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Acting as the Group subject‑matter expert on occupational health and work-related health risk management across all business areas.
  • Representing the service across our offices in Preston and Leeds, expected on site 1‑2 times a week.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of setting up an internal service.
  • Registered General Nurse (NMC) or equivalent.
  • Recognised Occupational Health qualification (e.g. Diploma in Occupational Health).
  • Understanding of matrix working and shared service delivery models.
  • Experience of working across two distinct teams (HR & Safety).

Location: This role will be based between our offices in Preston and Leeds, with an on-site presence 1‑2 times per week.
