Join a community that cares about you! More about your role Your key responsibilities include developing and managing the performance governance, risk and quality management function within A&I. You’ll maintain the risk registers and Risk360, ensuring that all owners and contributors are informed, accountable, and actively involved in risk management and mitigation efforts. You’ll also create a performance governance framework to ensure compliance and continuous improvement, collaborating with management teams to integrate governance risks into the plan. Additionally, you’ll develop metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of performance governance, monitor compliance with internal policies, and conduct regular audits to identify improvement areas. Prepare and present reports on governance activities and risk assessments, and take the lead in internal and external audits, providing insights and managing responses. Collaborate with wider Places for People teams to highlight audit needs and areas for improvement and perform quality audits to analyse data and inform your reports. More about you To be successful in this role you should have proven experience in governance, compliance, or risk management, particularly with housing or maintenance governing bodies and external auditors. Your analytical and problem-solving skills must be excellent, complemented by strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks is essential. Preferred qualifications include a solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies and best practices, as well as proficiency in governance, risk management, and compliance software tools.
