As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across the Royal College of Art estate. You will take ownership of compliance, health and safety, and ensure the safe and effective operation of buildings by managing risks and optimising asset performance. You will support and guide a team of technicians and contractors, oversee maintenance programmes, coordinate repairs and minor works, and use data insights to improve service delivery and long-term asset reliability.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in building maintenance, facilities management or a similar environment
  • Experience supervising maintenance teams and external contractors
  • Proven experience delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Experience managing statutory compliance and health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Experience using CAFM systems.

You will bring strong technical knowledge of building services and maintenance, with the ability to assess risks and make informed decisions. You are confident leading teams, setting priorities and managing performance, while supporting development and promoting high standards of work. You take a proactive and structured approach to compliance and safety, and you're comfortable using maintenance data to drive improvement and ensure efficient service delivery.
