The Commercial Office Finance Team are a core part of Group Support Services. They are now looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager on a permanent basis. We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Commercial Ventures team, supporting ModularWise (MW) and The Hire Place (THP), while playing a key role in strengthening financial insight and decision-making across a growing commercial portfolio.
This is not a traditional management accounting role. You'll combine strong financial control with forward-looking commercial insight, partnering closely with the MW and THP Managing Directors to improve performance, drive better decisions and support growth. The role also offers a significant opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director to shape how finance supports the wider commercial businesses - enhancing reporting, processes and decision-making at pace.
At Places for People, we are committed to a safe working environment so a basic DBS check is mandatory. Experience in management and statutory reporting in addition to strong Excel skills is highly essential. Proven experience leading and developing high performing finance teams is required. VBA and/or Python preferred. Strong technical accounting skills, including audit preparation and balance sheet control, are necessary. A professional accounting qualification is also required.
