As a Live-In Porter at Windsor Court, you'll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the site, providing a visible and reassuring presence for residents while helping to keep the building safe, secure and well maintained.

Working closely with the Senior Property Manager, you'll support the smooth operation of the building, from assisting with health and safety compliance and contractor management, to responding to resident queries and maintaining high standards across communal areas.

This is a live-in role, meaning you'll play an important part in supporting residents and responding to any incidents or emergencies when needed.

Where will I be working?

Living on Site at Windsor Court, W2 4SN - 37 hours per week - Working hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, however, a site walk and rubbish collection is required on a Saturday morning, 8am to 10am. There may also be requirements to work additional hours on the weekend as required but this will be communicated in advance.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensuring site security, including monitoring access, carrying out checks around communal areas and overseeing CCTV system
  • Assisting with health and safety compliance, including fire safety checks and hazard reporting
  • Acting as a point of contact for residents and providing excellent customer service
  • Responding to incidents, emergencies and queries, escalating where appropriate
  • Supporting the upkeep, cleanliness and presentation of communal areas
  • Liaising with contractors on site and ensuring work is carried out safely
  • Undertaking basic maintenance and caretaking tasks, reporting defects as needed

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a porter, caretaker or similar role
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of Health & Safety compliance within a residential block
  • Basic IT skills
  • Basic understanding of residential mechanical equipment and plant

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience within residential or building management environments
  • An Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience using CCTV systems
  • Experience in a Handyman role or similar

Additional information

This is a live-in position. A 2-bedroom flat is provided as part of the package.
