Do you love climbing? Want to share your passion with others? You will assist in leading the team at our Climbing Wall; your role will be to share your passion for climbing with the Leisure users while teaching them the skills and guiding them through all stages of their climbing journey. Set the standard of instruction to the rest of the team, ensuring that the environment is safe and welcoming at all times. Deliver fun and engaging sessions to a wide range of people from beginners to experienced climbers, using a variety of teaching styles to be flexible to people's needs. Be involved in the day‑to‑day running of the climbing wall, steer newcomers to suitable sessions, build rapport with returning customers and be motivated to develop as an instructor.

You will have experience of working in a similar environment and engaging with children. It is desirable that you have experience working in a climbing environment; however we are looking to train and engage with our colleagues. Having a climbing wall instructor qualification is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills are imperative.

Working Hours and Pay:

  • Weekly: Tuesday 13:00‑21:30
  • Wednesday 16:30‑19:30
  • Friday 15:00‑21:30
  • Fortnightly: Saturday 10:30‑16:30
  • Sunday 9:00‑16:30

24.75 hrs weekly average

Annual Salary £17,370.07
