Job Description

Residential Management Group (RMG), one of the UK's leading property management companies, is looking for a caring, organised and customer-focused Warden to support residents at our development in Boston Spa.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll help provide a welcoming, safe and well-managed environment for residents aged over 55. You'll be a trusted and approachable presence at the development, providing day-to-day support, coordinating services and helping residents maintain their independence and connections within the wider community.

Where will I be working?

This is a part-time, site-based role at our development in Boston Spa, Wetherby, LS23 6DT.

You'll work 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for three hours each day. Exact working times will be agreed.

More about your role

As Warden, you'll coordinate and deliver services that support residents living within the development. You'll maintain high-quality support services in line with relevant policies, procedures and good practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming new residents into their homes and explaining the facilities available.
  • Making daily contact with residents and visiting those who have requested support or where a visit is considered appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records, daily logs and handover notes
  • Recording relevant information about residents' needs and facilitating appropriate support
  • Liaising with statutory services, voluntary organisations, relatives and other support providers
  • Providing reassurance and general assistance in the event of an accident or illness until relatives or appropriate services are available
  • Encouraging residents to take part in social activities within the development and wider community
  • Monitoring the quality of services provided to residents
  • Completing regular estate walkabouts and reporting repairs, defects and health and safety concerns
  • Carrying out risk assessments and other health and safety monitoring activities
  • Liaising with housing management colleagues regarding repairs, maintenance and other matters affecting the development
  • Escalating relevant service charge queries to the Property Manager and Finance Team
  • Helping to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the development
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the grounds and gardens

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is caring, dependable and approachable, with the confidence to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and external support services.

You'll be organised, comfortable maintaining accurate records and committed to providing an excellent standard of customer service.

Essential skills and experience

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Previous administration experience
  • Strong organisation and record-keeping skills
  • A caring, patient and professional approach
  • Confidence communicating with residents, relatives, colleagues and external organisations
  • The ability to respond calmly and appropriately to challenging or emergency situations
  • The ability to work independently and use your initiative

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within an over 55s scheme
