You will be part of Derwent Facilities Management (DFM), where we are changing lives by creating thriving student living communities. We are looking to hire a Maintenance Assistant on a permanent basis. You will be working on a large site and expected to carry out summer maintenance to a high standard. Working either as part of a team or individually, you will be expected to manage your workload effectively.
This role is based on site 5 days a week at The Quays, Lightship Way, Colchester CO2 8GY, with working hours of 8:30am – 5pm. Post probation, you will be on call. At Places for People, we prioritise our dedication to safer recruitment. Therefore, a basic DBS check is mandatory for this position.

Experience in a similar role is desired though not essential. You will possess a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to those around you. You will be compliant with Health and Safety and manage tasks end to end.
The ideal candidate will have:
