We have an exciting new opportunity as a Lifeguard at Places Leisure. You will work in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people, inspiring others to work together and deliver their best. A National Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential. We support continuous learning and development, so if you are a competent swimmer and safety conscious, we can help you achieve this qualification. Starting your career as a Lifeguard opens many future pathways within Places Leisure, including operational management, sales, fitness and customer service. In this role we offer ongoing training and competency assessments, first‑aid training, swimming teacher qualifications and various apprenticeship routes.
You will supervise customers and other lifeguards using our swimming and pool facilities. You will act safely, holding responsibility for the health and safety of all pool users and overseeing the operations of the building. You will have excellent attention to detail, ensuring safety for our customers while they enjoy the facilities. You will deliver first‑class customer service, dealing with customers in a friendly and professional manner and going above and beyond to maintain high standards. You will maintain cleanliness, acting when required to keep the environment tidy.
