As Quantity Surveyor, you will support value for money, customer-focused services across all our asset investment activities and contractor management teams, supporting the implementation of the contract and group requirements. You will work directly with our partner contractors and investment delivery colleagues to ensure that we maximise the impact of the significant investment activity in our customers' homes, delivering high-quality improvement works that are customer-focused and represent value for money.
You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of a number of major projects operating simultaneously across the country. You will be required to travel occasionally to visit sites/projects and teams. You will work closely with the Programme Performance Manager ensuring that all regulatory and group policies are adhered to. As part of this role, you will be travelling to London 1-2 times a month with expenses covered.
Basic DBS check required.
Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying, or extensive equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience managing contractors within a construction-related environment.
- Driving license with access to your own vehicle.
- Strong project, programme, contract, safety, cost and change management skills.
Extensive experience of managing contractors within a construction-related organisation and project management is essential. You need to hold a Quantity Surveyor qualification to degree level (or have extensive relevant experience) for this role.
