We have an exciting new opportunity for a Swimming Teacher at Places Leisure.
This role is in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people, where you will inspire others to work together and deliver their best.
Your enthusiasm, teaching skills, swimming knowledge and expertise will be central to engaging with customers and improving their experience.
All of our swimmer development stages are based on the National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
Therefore, Swimming Teachers should hold a minimum of UKCC Level 2.
Having a Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC) is advantageous, but we will support motivated individuals in achieving these through continuous learning and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Motivate and instruct customers in group and one-to-one lessons.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Create engaging lesson plans aligned with the National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
- Build trust, encourage, and motivate students of all ages and skill levels.
- Seek out development opportunities and new ideas to improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum UKCC Level 2.
- Advantage: Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC).
- Friendly, approachable, patient, with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience working with diverse age groups and a commitment to fostering confidence in swimming.
