About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Treasury Analyst to join their team based in Randburg. This role is crucial for managing the company's liquidity, cash flow, and financial risk. You will be involved in cash management operations, debt management, investment analysis, and forecasting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an analytical professional to gain broad experience in treasury functions within a leading financial institution in Gauteng. The role requires a strong understanding of financial markets and risk management principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily cash positions, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
- Execute cash management activities, including wire transfers, ACH transactions, and interbank transfers.
- Assist in the management of banking relationships and optimize banking services.
- Support debt management activities, including monitoring covenants and preparing related reports.
- Analyze investment options for short-term cash surpluses and manage investment portfolios.
- Prepare treasury reports, forecasts, and analyses for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- 2-4 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cash management, financial markets, and investment principles.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial software; experience with treasury management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
