About the Role
Our client, a renowned Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor in the Oil & Gas sector , is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead significant projects based in Randburg . You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of complex EPC projects, managing budgets, schedules, resources, and risks from inception to completion. This leadership role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, ensuring projects meet client requirements and company objectives. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of EPC projects, including feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and manage project scope, budget, schedule, and resources, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, construction managers, and subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Implement robust project controls, risk management strategies, and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout project lifecycle.
- Report project progress, performance, and key issues to senior management and clients regularly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or a related technical field.
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in project management within the Oil & Gas EPC environment.
- Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $50 million USD.
