About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical Senior Power Systems Analyst to join their dedicated team in Randburg .

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, transient stability , and voltage stability analysis.
- Develop and validate sophisticated power system models using industry-standard software.
- Analyze the impact of new generation sources (including renewables) and network upgrades on grid performance.
- Assess system reliability and security, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to engineering teams, management, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of planning criteria, operating procedures, and grid interconnection standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph D in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in power system analysis, modeling, and simulation.
- Expert proficiency in power system analysis software (e. g., PSS/E, Power Factory DIg SILENT, ETAP).
- Strong understanding of grid codes , regulatory frameworks, and power market operations.
