Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.

- Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.
- Manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and schedule necessary repairs.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Collaborate with production management to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the maintenance team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Supervisor, or similar leadership role in an industrial plant.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance techniques and software.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in managing work orders and maintenance documentation.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in an industrial environment.
- Relevant technical qualification or trade certification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
- Ability to work on-site in Randburg and adapt to varying operational demands.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is highly desirable.
