About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the electrical installation aspects of renewable energy projects, ensuring adherence to designs and specifications.
- Develop detailed installation plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Supervise and guide on-site installation teams and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues encountered on-site.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and completion certificates.
- Manage project documentation related to electrical installations, including as-built drawings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of installation processes and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation, with a focus on renewable energy systems (solar PV, battery storage) preferred.
- Proven experience in managing installation projects and supervising technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical installation techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., SANS, IEC).
- Strong understanding of electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both remote responsibilities and on-site project needs.
- Proficiency in project management tools is a plus.
- Must be able to travel to project sites within the Randburg, Gauteng region as needed.
