Our client, a premier technology consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust cloud infrastructures for their diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive cloud architecture solutions based on client needs and best practices across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Lead the technical strategy for cloud adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation for cloud environments.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Optimize cloud solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers on cloud best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in cloud computing and related technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing, with at least 4 years focused on architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Expertise in networking, security, and identity management within cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Experience working within a consulting environment in Randburg, Gauteng, ZA is a plus.
