About the Role

This role is crucial for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers for a wide range of indirect services and technology-related goods. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for indirect spend categories, including IT hardware, software, professional services, and facilities management.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and supplier analysis to identify best-in-class partners.
- Lead complex negotiations for contracts, ensuring competitive pricing, favorable terms, and risk mitigation.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, fostering strong partnerships and driving performance improvements.
- Develop detailed cost models and business cases for sourcing initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand requirements and ensure alignment.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and supplier capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and contractual obligations.
- Identify opportunities for spend consolidation, process optimization, and cost savings.
- Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, preferably in a technology or services environment.
- Proven success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost savings.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis, spend analysis, and financial modeling.
- Expertise in sourcing indirect services and technology procurement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
- Proficiency with e-sourcing tools, procurement software, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa
- and comfortable with a fully remote working arrangement.
