About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Civil Design Engineer for a fully remote position.
This role will leverage your expertise in designing complex civil infrastructure projects from the comfort of your home office.
You will lead the design process, collaborate with virtual teams across different locations, and ensure the technical integrity and innovation of our projects.
The position demands a high degree of self-discipline, strong communication skills for remote collaboration, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions without the need for a physical office presence, serving clients globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development of civil infrastructure projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and utilities, using advanced engineering principles.
- Prepare comprehensive design reports, technical specifications, and construction documents for diverse projects.
- Conduct thorough design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with remote project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines via virtual communication tools.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff working remotely.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and innovative design approaches in civil engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard civil design software (e. g., Auto CAD Civil 3D, Civil 3D, Storm CAD).
- Demonstrated ability to manage design tasks independently and meet project deadlines in a remote setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective virtual collaboration.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration is highly preferred.
