About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Remote HR Generalist with a strong focus on Employee Relations to join their dynamic, fully remote team supporting operations around Randburg . This role is essential for fostering a positive and productive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, managing conflict resolution, and ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies. You will work closely with employees and management to navigate complex HR issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance, all within a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and disputes.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and policy violations.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations matters and best practices.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
- Develop and deliver training programs on topics such as conflict resolution and positive workplace conduct.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to identify trends and proactively implement strategies to improve employee relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a significant portion dedicated to employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and its application to employee relations issues.
- Proven experience in conducting investigations and mediating workplace conflicts.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion in a remote setting.
