About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Fleet Dispatcher to manage the daily operations of their national transportation fleet from a home-based setting. This critical role ensures that all deliveries are scheduled, dispatched, and tracked efficiently across South Africa . You will act as the central communication hub between drivers, management, and clients, resolving issues in real-time and optimizing logistical workflows. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and is adept at utilizing dispatch and tracking software to maintain seamless operations and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch drivers and vehicles to appropriate routes and delivery points nationwide.
- Monitor the location and status of all fleet vehicles in real-time using GPS tracking systems.
- Respond promptly to driver inquiries, operational challenges, and emergency situations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules, updates, and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, activity reports, and driver performance records.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize routes and improve overall operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a fleet dispatcher or in a similar logistics coordination role.
- Strong familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking technologies.
