About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and managing competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. You will work closely with HR leadership and finance to ensure programs are aligned with market trends and company strategy. This is a significant opportunity for a specialised HR professional to drive critical aspects of employee value proposition in a remote-first environment, influencing HR policy and practice for employees across the organisation, including those based near Randburg .
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage the company's compensation programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, and incentive plans.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analyse compensation and benefits data to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to compensation and benefits.
- Develop communication materials to effectively explain compensation and benefits programs to employees.
- Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed for benefits administration and compensation benchmarking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in salary benchmarking and benefits analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labour laws and regulations related to C&B.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
