About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Rehabilitation Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team in Randburg . This hybrid role involves developing and implementing personalized rehabilitation programs for individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. You will work closely with patients to restore physical function, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life. Your expertise will be vital in helping patients regain independence and achieve their recovery goals, blending in-person therapeutic sessions with remote progress monitoring and client education. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Provide hands-on therapy and guidance to patients during sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related rehabilitation discipline.
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HPCSA).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques and equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively, utilizing both in-person and remote communication tools.
