About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Project Engineer to lead and manage diverse engineering projects within their operations in Randburg . This role requires overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. You will coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced engineer to drive impactful initiatives in the dynamic economic hub of Gauteng .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, including planning, execution, and closing.
- Develop project scopes, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise project teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Communicate project status and updates effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience with contract management and vendor relations.
