About the Role
Our client, a respected non-profit organization focused on youth empowerment in Randburg, is seeking an enthusiastic Program Officer. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and managing programs that foster personal growth, education, and career development for young people in the Gauteng province. You will work closely with youth, community partners, and internal teams to ensure programs are impactful, engaging, and responsive to the needs of young people. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute youth development programs, including workshops, mentoring, and skills training.
- Manage program logistics, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community centers, and youth organizations.
- Recruit, train, and support program participants and volunteers.
- Monitor program activities, collect data, and report on outcomes and impact.
- Facilitate youth engagement and ensure programs are relevant and accessible.
- Advocate for youth needs within the community and with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program coordination or management, preferably with youth-focused initiatives.
- Strong understanding of youth development principles and challenges.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with the Randburg area and its youth demographic is beneficial.
