About the Role
Our client, a significant entity in the energy industry, is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at their facilities located in Randburg, Gauteng, ZA . This critical role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable production of energy resources. You will lead a team of operations personnel, manage production targets, and implement best practices to optimize output and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, a comprehensive understanding of production processes, and a commitment to operational excellence and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily production operations, ensuring adherence to schedules and targets.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of production operators and technicians.
- Monitor production equipment performance and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
- Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize yield.
- Manage inventory of production supplies and spare parts.
- Prepare and submit regular operational reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address technical issues and implement improvements.

Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in production operations within the energy sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and operational safety procedures.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Proficiency in operational reporting and performance monitoring.
