About the Role
Our client, a prestigious architectural studio celebrated for its high-end residential designs, is seeking a Principal Residential Architect to lead their practice in Randburg, Gauteng . This senior role requires a visionary designer with extensive experience in luxury residential projects, from bespoke single-family homes to exclusive multi-unit developments. You will be responsible for guiding the entire design process, client engagement, and team management. The ideal candidate will possess a sophisticated design sensibility, a mastery of architectural detailing, and a deep understanding of material quality and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and development of high-end residential projects.
- Manage client relationships, from initial consultation through to project completion, ensuring exceptional service.
- Oversee and mentor junior architects and design staff, fostering design excellence and professional growth.
- Develop conceptual designs, detailed drawings, and specifications with a focus on quality and innovation.
- Ensure designs meet client aspirations, functional requirements, and aesthetic standards for luxury living.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and artisans to ensure precise execution of designs.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in residential architecture, materials, and technology.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control throughout the design and construction phases.
- Represent the firm in client meetings and presentations.
Requirements
- Professional registration with SACAP as a Professional Architect.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-registration experience, with a significant specialization in high-end residential architecture.
- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional luxury residential designs and detailing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage client expectations effectively.
- Expertise in architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and high-quality 3D rendering software.
- Deep understanding of luxury finishes, bespoke detailing, and construction best practices for high-value residences.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work within a hybrid setup.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Randburg, Gauteng .
