About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Manage media inquiries and serve as a spokesperson when required.
- Collaborate with internal teams on communication strategies and campaign development.
- Prepare spokespersons for media interviews and provide media training.
- Oversee crisis communication efforts as part of the broader PR strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
- Proven track record of successfully securing media coverage and managing media relationships.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape in South Africa and beyond.
- Experience with media monitoring and PR software is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in a hybrid or flexible work environment.
