About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous Mechanical Drafter to join their engineering department in Randburg . This role is vital for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and 3D models based on designs provided by engineers. You will ensure that all documentation adheres to industry standards and company specifications, playing a crucial role in the successful execution of various engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- Prepare technical drawings for manufacturing, assembly, and client presentations.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, drafting conventions, and company specifications.
- Assist engineers in design modifications and updates, incorporating feedback into drawings.
- Manage and organize drawing files and revision history within the PDM system.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to clarify design intent and resolve drafting-related queries.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Drafting or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Drafter or CAD Technician.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
